In 2019, during the follow-up trial, the average yield was 540.6 kg per mu, representing a 7.8% increase over the control. The average yield per mu across the eight trial sites was 653.9 kilograms, representing a 2.7% increase over the control variety, Guidan No. 8. The proportion of sites showing increased yields was 62.5%.
According to identification by the Guizhou Provincial Institute of Plant Protection: highly resistant to large leaf spot, resistant to smut, small leaf spot, and southern rust; moderately resistant to sheath blight, head rot, and gray leaf spot.
